Subject to Blood

The story of the bleeding woman has been subjected to generations of sermonising by male voices. This project invites those working from womanist and feminist approaches to submit poetry, art or narratives reflecting on this passage. We hope to gather diverse perspectives and create a resource which challenges the traditional model of commentary writing and opens our hearts and minds to the strength of this nameless woman in a crowd.

Project curators Stacey Wilson and Talitha Fraser  intend to facilitate a range of creative workshops and writing spaces engaging with the text.  We intend that these spaces will be contemplative, interactive and hold spaces for other ways of knowing. Some will be in person and some online. You must have attended one of these events for your contribution to be considered for the final published resource.

Book us to facilitate a creative spacemaking session near you.
